1 week residential courses

For course members over 13 years of age. Courses qualify for the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Residential Award but you do not have to be doing a Duke of Edinburgh Award to participate.
An action packed week of fun, flying and friendship for 13 to 25 years old youngsters in the magnificent Bedford scenery at Dunstable Downs



Aerotow training flights in gliders and motor gliders

Air Experience flight in a Vintage Tiger Moth biplane (subject to availability)

Navigate around a 100 km cross country route in a motor glider

We visit an aircraft museum for a study project such as the Shuttleworth Collection (Museum of flying vintage aircraft) www.shuttleworth.org

Use a PC based Flight Simulator

Build a free flight model aeroplane for a flying competition (win cinema tickets)


Learn about aviation as a career or leisure pursuit

Residential courses in 2006 cost 450, which includes everything except food which may be purchased from a wide selection in the club restaurant. Bursary support is sometimes available to those who can demonstrate a need for financial assistance.
